S.A.G. National Board Veteran and Membershipfirst
Veteran. I organized the Holiday Hosts Committee to
enhance the image of S.A.G. and raise morale. In so
doing I am full filling Article 2 Section 2D of the
S.A.G. Constitution and By Laws. The Mayor of Los
Angeles has acknowledged this feat. I am a Unionist.
I put theory into practice. Unionism is my motivation.
The S.A.G. Board of Directors recognized this and voted
to appoint me as a SAG Representative to the Los
Angeles County Federation of Labor. This speaks for
itself.

S.A.G. should own its own building. I have made a
concerted effort to move our union in this direction.

My service History to this union speaks for itself. I
led S.A.G. members on the picket lines as a Strike
Captain (Blue Hard Hat)during the grueling six month
S.A.G. Commercial Strike in 2000. This strike was the
longest show business strike in the history of show
business. One of our members lost his life during this
arduous struggle.

After the Strike ended I chaired MARC (Membership
Application Review Committee) Hearings where over one
hundred Strike Breakers (scabs) were punished. They
prolonged the strike.

Before that I fought to change S.A.G. campaign election
rules that makes it possible for S.A.G. National
candidates to have their campaign literature displayed
in ALL S.A.G. offices across the country. Prior to my
protest was prohibited. This was a violation of Labor
Law but it took a concerned S.A.G. member like myself to
change it. ( See Variety 10/15/93)

I advocated and fought for the formal adoption of the
AFL-CIO Union Benefits Program formally known as the
Union Privilege Program. S.A.G. pays hundreds of
thousands of dollars to the AFL-CIO yearly in dues.
We should get something in return for our money. The
programs offered through the Union Member Benefits
Program benefit all members regardless of status.

I am a doer not a talker. If re-elected to the S.A.G.
Board of Directors I will show up. I will not be an
absentee Board member relying on someone else to fill
in for me. You elect me and you will get me in the
Board room.

I am proud to work with the WILDBUNCH OF HOLLYWOOD in
this election. I am proud they asked me to run on
their slate. The WILDBUNCH OF HOLLYWOOD perform the
very important function of providing security at our
Union meetings and gatherings. They are concerned
about our safety at these gatherings. The WILDBUNCH
was instrumental in fighting to preserve our union as
it is when reactionary management was attempting to
merge away our rights. The WILDBUNCH are DEDICATED
union members who stand up for the rank and file just
as I do. A VOTE for the WILDBUNCH means a vote for
the rank and file.

Committees: Holiday Hosts (Chair),Guild Government Review,Communications,Low Budget Films,Background,Ethnic Employment (former vice Chair). Past Committees: Elections (Chair),Stewards,Member Relations, Young Performers,Casting,Comedians, Singers,Membership Application Review,Health, Disciplinary Review. I am also a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Vote! Elect me! I'll fight for you! We are all
members of the SAME GUILD!!!
